Report Details

There was a tsunami advisory for aprox. 8:40 in the morning.  I didn't witness the waves, but it seems that it came up almost to the dunes and included a large amount of micro and larger plastic along with many pyrosomes, sea pickles. Photos attached.

Conditions

Temperature: 51 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 21. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 16. Sitting: 5. Beautiful winter day with a fair amount of activity given the tsunami about 6.5 hours earlier.

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces, Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea). A large amount of micro and larger plastics in the tsunami and high tide lines for the entire mile. The most micro plastic I've ever seen on this beach. See photo.
