I choose to go out the day after the 4th purposly. It is heart breaking to see what the public left on the beach and in the parking area. We hauled off more then 200 lbs of '4th' trash.
Conditions
Temperature: 62 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 12. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 5. Fishing: 7. Fire Department was checking this section of the beach.

Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass. Very little drift line debris in comparison to other reports.
Natural Changes
Evidence of wave overtopping. Being I havent reported in a while I will say the I observed overtopping during last winters king tides.

After this week of flooding and rains, the southern end of my mile is covered in debris washed out of the rivers feeding the Tillamook Bay.

I went out in the afternoon of Earthday which was also beach clean up day.

Lots of dritwood accumulation along the southern portion of mile 290.

Post 4th beach clean up is a yearly clean up I do because the public always leaves a mess behind them.
