Trail up to Devils Cauldron was in good condition, but muddy. Suspension bridge showed some sign of wear and graffiti was present at the bridge. Several plastic water bottles were on the rocks off the beach. Drift line near north end of beach was dense with small plastic particulates.Water Quality - Short Sands creek - pH 8 and DO 6.5Flora - starting to bloom:Salmonberry Rubus spectabilis start of bloom (pink)Oval-leaved blueberry Vaccinium ovalifolium blooming (white) Skunk Cabbage Lysichiton americanum blooming (yellow)Western Trillium Trillium ovatum blooming (white)Some evidence of recent erosion and mast wasting. Recent fallen tree off cliff.
