Going south from the Coquille River at 7:30 a.m., it was quiet, chilly, cloudy, windless and high tide at 7.1 feet. No critters evident. Not much litter. Only twigs and seagrasses in the driftline. Some small stones. Only one person on the beach--using a metal detector.
