Report Details

A glorious scarlet sunrise complete with rainbow marked the start of my walk on 102 south of the Coquille River on a chilly but calm (at the start only) and cloudy morning. Three other people were on my half-mile, on the return side. One had a loose dog. All were walking. On the wild side, a flock of Canada Geese did a flyby while Black Oystercatchers chorused on the near-shore rocks. Some baby dungeness molts in the tideline. Lots of the logs have gone out with the tides, though many remain. Some even have fallen prey to chainsaws on the beach in front of the three rental properties closest to the parking lot. On that front, 5 vehicles were there when I left. None when I arrived at 7:30 a.m.
