Report Details

Only a couple of fishermen out at this hour on a cloudy but pleasant morning on the beach north of the Coquille River. The driftwood mass accumulated during the winter storms is much reduced, possibly by tidal action. Several driftwood structures dot this segment: three just west of the parking lot and a couple toward the north end of the mile. Not much wildlife, just a couple of gulls and two skittish Wimbrels. Many, many small clear jellies lined the drift zones. Small rocks were scattered around.
