Report Details
Apart from the weather (windy and wet) there wasn't much happening on the segment of this mile north of the Coquille River at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. It was close to low tide but no one else was out and scarcely any wildlife. I did scare some small shorebirds from the wood piles accumulated at the base of the dune however. New logs are either incoming from the sea or shifted by the tides. In any case, no overtopping or erosion was evident. Shell fragments, sticks and minimal human trash marked the high line.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Rain. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: S. Tide Level: 0.5 feet.
Notable Wildlife
Several unknown, small shorebirds
Driftline Content
