Report Details

The segment north of the Coquille River doesn't show as much bull kelp accumulation as the other side, but there are piles here too. The storm tides are much closer to the vegetated dunes but not quite there yet. Gulls and small shorebirds walked the sand while pelicans flew offshore. Stones, shell fragments and crab molt marked the tideline. Two people with a dog entered the beach from one of the northerly access trails.
