No one else was out (surprise!
Report Details
No one else was out (surprise!) on a foggy, moderately windy morning at 6:30 on the northern stretch. Just me and the dogs getting wet in the dark. Gulls, sanderling-size birds and whimbrels were in the wet sand. A dead common murre, adult size but showing no injury, lay in the high line. So did countless jellies of various sizes in hues ranging from clear to golden. Also stones, kelp and shell fragments. On the southern end was more human activity at roughly the same time the previous day: 3 people, two with dogs; five vehicles in the lot. Some jellies, one dead common murre, shell fragments. The black oyster catchers were quite boisterous off shore; also noticeable were gulls and crows.
