A nice day to visit and play at the beach. It was high tide, so big waves were the main show.

Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 8.6 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 27. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 9. Playing in surf: 4. Playing in sand: 4. Sitting: 9. Photography: 1. It was a beautiful mild day at the beach, lots of children playing. We seem to have a semi-permanent structure built out of driftwood, which popped up last year some time, and has been being taken care of by all its visitors, see pictures. Everyone seemed to be having a pleasant time.

Notable Wildlife

No birds at all. Maybe it was because of high tide or so many people today.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 1. Parts of what looked like maybe Seagull feathers, wings etc, were found.

Driftline Content

Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Shells.

Man-made Modifications

Dune modification/removal. Besides our driftwood structure someone placed small logs sticking straight up about 20 feet apart for a ways down th beach
