Mile 169 - North end Siuslaw South Jetty Road - September 13, 2014

Beautiful day just after low tide but not many enjoying it. A couple plus their three dogs had their tent nestled in the dunes surrounded by dune grass.At the high tide line there were scattered small pebbles and scattered broken clam shells. I noticed only three small pieces of man made debris...not bad for a mile of beach. Some normal chunks of driftwood. No sign of vehicles on the beach.Looked like most of the activity was at the crabbing pier on the river side of the dunes.

Number of people: 2. Number of dogs: 3. Other Activities: camping. Lots of footprints, but only two people at their camp site could be seen near the beach

Notable Wildlife

Approximately a dozen gulls plus a small group of sanderlings.
