Report Details
The beach has resumed its gentle slope down to ocean, so no standing water on beach. There have been many storms in the month preceding this report, and the waves have been lapping the base of the embankment. Sea seems to have scoured the beach to some extent, though there is still plastic debris. relatively strong wind discouraged large number of people on beach on date I walked it.
Conditions
Temperature: 54 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Strong. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 2.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 9. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 5. Other Activities: Of the 5 people who were walking, 2 were walking the dog.. No one on beach beyond 100 yards from beach access. 22mph wind, large surf discouraged large numbers of beach walkers.

New Development
Drainage pipes. I did not cross Thiele Creek due to high/fast water, so will amend this report if necessary when I am able to cross the creek. Crossed Thiele Creek January 13, 2019. In previous report I noted that all drainage pipes had been removed; but as of January 13, four new ones had appeared. Walking north across Thiele Creek, the first one is at approximately 44.566551 x 124.070802; second one about 20 yards north from there; third and fourth ones at 44.568271 x 124.070703, below a house where a drainage pipe was observed previously. See attached photos. Drainage pipe left at bottom of cliff at 44.569371 x 124.070631 is still there.

My last previous report was at the end of 2019, but the changes over the last year are typical of Mile 211, including rockslides or boulder falls, rockfields covering parts of the beach, and a new drainage pipe.

More than 10 previously unobserved drainage pipes in places with already existing pipes.

I tried to pick up and carry back to trash collection area all plastic pieces I found larger than 1 square inch, but for every piece I picked up there were at least 100 smaller pieces, a great increase over the amount of plastic just a few years ago.

The contour of the beach has changed again so that there are numerous patches of standing water at the base of the embankment.

Most of the people were within 100 yards of the Lost Creek beach access.
