Quiet day on the coast. No concerns. Lots of small litter (plastic/styrofoam) in the driftline.4 dead birds. This mile is just south of South Beach Park and the ranger often cleans this stretch of coast.Photos will be added when my camera is fixed.

Notable Wildlife

No birds were seen.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 4. Photos of the birds will be entered with the report later (camera is in the repair shop).

Driftline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Shells, Styrofoam, Wood pieces. Lots of small bits of styrofoam/plastic in the driftline. Nothing else unusual.

Around midnight last night, from our condo observed lights from a fishing boat apparently beached on South Beach, just south of SouthShore community.
