Report Details

Other than some fisherman debris and evidence of some fireworks the Boiler Bay bluffs are in good shape. Looks like good feeding area for whales. Bald eagle pair have a nest in trees across highway. Gulls appear to be increasing after they had thinned out a lot earlier this year. People do feed the gulls here.

Conditions

Temperature: 59 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW.

Human Activities

Number of people: 20. Fishing: 4. Other Activities: Whale watching. Most people were watching the 4 whales feeding. I returned at 13:30 and the parking lot was full and well over 100 people there with an active Coast Guard SAR mission underway. Never found out if fisherman fell from bluff or kayaker fell out of kayak. Kayak redfish tourney taking place.

Vehicles

Cars/trucks parking: 6. RVs/Buses parking: 3.
