Report Details

Beach was mostly clean. Some glass bottles and fish net rope in one location that appeared to have been gathered by a beach visitor and left in a plastic bucket. Pelicans were diving for fish just beyond the surf line and several seals were swimming in the surf. One seal was hauled up on beach but returned to water when it saw us walking There were tire tracks at two locations, one set appeared to be coming down from dune at north end of mile, other set lead to or from beach houses at south end of mile.

Notable Wildlife

Pelicans were active feeding off shore. Several seals swimming in surf, one on beach which retured to water when we walked down beach.

Unusual concentration. Large drifts of dried Vellela vellela remain on the sand
