My first observation at Seaside (323). This will be a one off survey, as the last time it was surveyed was in Feb. of 2021. Also conducted a COASST beached bird survey during this mile walk. Very wide beach from Surf to Wood! Lots of sand dollars in the surf and wrack, along with crab shells in the bare. Only two occcasions of litter observed and five fire pits in the bare. Pretty clean beach. Tire tracks observerable along the mile, that belong to a large backhoe. Two beached birds a common murre and a Herring gull.

Temperature: 65 F. Tide Level: 3.9 feet.

Number of people: 37. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 33. Playing in surf: 1. Fishing: 3. Can't count vehicles at this beach, too many entry points

Notable Wildlife

3 gulls, 1 cormorant flying 1 gull standing

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 2. Herring Gull #8 Common Murre #11 I tagged both

Driftline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt).
