Summary:

It's illegal for anyone to own Pacific Ocean beach in Oregon, but it sure felt like our own private beach today. Aside from 3 pickup trucks driving by we were the only people there. The fog, very weak sun, & mists combined to make the wet sand, surf, & sky all the same color at times.

We tried to walk this mile yesterday but the beach was closed due to live fire training at Camp Rilea. I poked around online & found the Camp's website:

which shows live fire status toward the bottom. Though the website said yesterday & tomorrow only, the signs at the end of the road said that the beach was closed today too. It wasn't.
