Relatively large number of people (for mile 211) were enjoying the beach on a sunny, inviting day. Standing water in the northern part of mile had disappeared and water level in Thiele Creek at north end of mile was very low. Parking area at Lost Creek Wayside was nearly full.read more
Fairly big crowd for mile 211 on a foggy June 21, most of the people as usual near the beach access at Lost Creek Wayside. At least one rocky area on beach had disappeared, and this was one of the first days I did not see any rockhounds. read more

Most of the people were within 100 yards of the Lost Creek beach access. Standing water has begun to appear on beach, both near base of embankment and near water's edge (see photos). Pleasant day, mostly sun plus fog, as well as low clouds over ocean.read more

Beyond about .5 mile from beach access, there were no people on the beach and the beach remained relatively pristine, at least south of Thiele Creek. The area at base of cliffs is flattening out and some areas of standing water were forming (I counted at least 6 small areas). read more

Very few people on the beach on the cloudy Sunday afternoon I was walking mile 211. A few areas of mud and standing water had appeared since my last report. Rocks, broken shells, drift wood, kelp, and a few cut flowers were all I found in the high tide line.read more
